Trips and Programs

Outdoor Programs offers trips which range in form from long to short, near and far, and all are fantastic outdoor adventure and educational opportunities at reasonable costs to our student community.


LandSea Our 17-days long First-Year Orientation program that takes place in August and brings students to the Adirondack mountains of New York.


Winter Break Trip Our week-long trip which takes place in December and brings students around the country.


Spring Training Our outdoor leadership training trip which takes place over spring break and brings students to Kentucky for education on outdoor adventuring skills.

Wilderness Medicine Our two part training series for Wilderness First Aid and Wilderness First Responder certifications in March and June.


P.E. Classes We offer several credit-worthy classes centered around outdoor activities like snowshoeing and backpacking. These classes are open to all students, some may be limited by season.

Kalamazoo Outing Club Our student run organization which provides low- to no-cost trip opportunities for K students. Trips may look like weekend camping, indoor rock climbing, day hikes, and more.
