OLTC Dorm Room Policies and Guidelines

What to Expect

Cost & Security Deposit  

  • $50 per night per person
  • A $50 refundable security deposit is required at the time of booking (this will be included in the purchase of the dorm room space). This deposit will be returned after check-out, provided there is no damage and the key card is returned.

Dorm Setup & What to Expect  

  • The dorm is one shared room that can accommodate up to six people at a time  
  • This is a mixed-gender space, so you may be sharing the room with individuals of any gender
  • The dorm is located within the OLTC office, which is open to students from 8 AM – 5 PM, Monday through Friday. During these hours, students and staff may be using the common areas

What’s Included in Your Stay?

  • Twin-size bunk beds (bring your own bedding)
  • Access to a shared kitchen with a fridge, stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, and cooking essentials
  • Shared bathroom facilities with showers
  • Lounge and study space within the OLTC office
  • Free overnight parking
  • One meal ticket per day to use on campus

What You Need to Bring

  • Bedding is NOT provided – Please bring a sleeping bag or twin-size sheets, blanket, and pillow
  • Towels & personal toiletries (soap, shampoo, toothbrush, etc.)
  • Any additional food/snacks you’d like
  • Any course materials or personal items you may need

Important Note: Office Hours – The OLTC office space is open to students from 8 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. During these hours, you may see students and staff using the space.

OLTC Mixed Gender Dorm Room Policies and Guidelines

  • Quiet Hours: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM 
  • Guests: Only registered guests are allowed to stay overnight. 
  • Cleanliness: Please keep the space tidy and dispose of trash in designated bins. 
  • Smoking: This is a smoke-free facility. Smoking is prohibited inside and near entrances. 
  • Alcohol/Drugs: The use of alcohol and/or drugs is strictly prohibited. Please refer to the Kalamazoo College campus policy for further detail regarding the drug policy
